Borussia Dortmund no longer have a head coach. The manager Nuri Sahin was sacked after the defeat against Bologna in the Champions League this week. For Die Borussen it was a 4th consecutive loss in all competitions – it’s not a surprise that Sahin got the sack. His appointment as Edin Terzic replacement didn’t turn out to be a good decision from the board.

In the Bundesliga Dortmund lost their last three games in the league. Because of this they fell to 10th place in the standings. The board didn’t have any other option, but to sack the manager.

While Borussia are looking for a new manager, Mike Tullberg will coach the team. It means that he will manage Dortmund against Werder on Saturday.

Julian Brandt could return in the starting eleven against Werder. The talented midfielder started from the bench against Bologna. The same could be said about Karim Adeyemi and Emre Can.

Werder Bremen are without a win in their last three games in the Bundesliga – they have one draw and two defeats. Currently Werder are 9th in the league with 26 points – one point more than Dortmund.

In their last game Werder faced Augsburg at home, but conceded a 0-2 defeat. Ole Werner’s team didn’t have a good match. Now they need to be better at the Signal Iduna Park.
